S&W M&P 9L with Customer Trigger Work

Background

The S&W M&P 9L was done a few months back.  In fact, I have had the gun since January and have had a blast taking it to the range.   I have mentioned this in the past of how much the gun has changed from when it came from the manufacturer. 

Range Shoot

I wanted to show you how this gun performs at the range.  I never talked about Reactionary Steel Plate shooting, which is a bit of a favorite activity of mine.  I wanted to apologize for the poor audio quality of the video section, but the video was recorded outdoors on a windy day.  I have shot about 1200 rounds since the gun has come back and the reliability has been dead on (with the exception of the Ultramax ammunition).  The results are excellent.  The gun can drop steel like there is no tomorrow.  My friend tried to shoot his factory S&W M&P45 against my M&P with the custom work and it was taking up to 2 to 3 bullets per target to drop them.  His shooting results were very similiar to my S&W M&P9L from the factory.

If I were to compare accuracy numbers, I would rate the M&P from the factory at a 4 to 5 out of 10 for accuracy.  The Glock 34 is a better bet for a gun versus the S&W M&P9L as a straight from the factory gun.  However, with this custom work on the gun, the Glock 34 is significantly less accurate than my S&W M&P9L with custom Bowie Tactical Concepts Work.  Everyone who has tried shooting this gun is absolutely amazed at the way it shoots.  She may not be the prettiest gun at the range, but she’ll definitely out perform 90%+ of the guns on the firing line at a minimum. 

When communicating with Bowie Tactical Concepts (www.bowietacticalconcepts.com) ask them for the same work done on the Civilian Tactical Weapons gun.  The LX Trigger job shoots like a champ.  If you want an inexpensive gun that is a competition grade gun, you need to look at getting the S&W M&P9L (not the pro) and getting this work done.  We also had a reliability job done on the gun and the Trijicon 3-dot Green sights.
