Concealable and Relevant
I am a strong believer of not accepting any caliber under 9mm as a defense caliber, for home or carry. Unfortunately, there are a lot of mini concealment handguns for ankle carry, small of back, etc. that are .380 and below. Now I don’t want to get into a big disagreement over calibers, since personally I don’t carry less than a 45 for my conceal carry, but then not all men can be like me, since I carry a 45 and not a 9mm since I don’t sit down to pee….okay, bad joke.
Getting back to the Glock 26. The Glock 26 is the smallest of the Glock compact 9mm handguns. It has many benefits over it’s competitors in this 
space,however cost is not one of the values. Even about a full 1/2 to 3/4″ overall shorter than the Glock 36, this miniature Glock is designed for up most concealment. With a capacity of 10+1, it gives a lot of firepower in such a small package. This gun is 100% ideal for anyone carrying this gun as a backup to a primary Glock 17 or Glock 19 on their person, since the magazines of the larger Glock handguns will fit in this gun.
I mention in the video a few comments about this gun as it pertains to women using the gun for self defense in a purse (the number one location for women to carry guns so when the Black Friday Sales after Thanksgiving kick in, they have a way of making sure no one steals the 75% of blouse that is in their shopping cart at the Kohl’s at 3:00AM in the morning, all strung out on coffee).
Glock is well known for making highly reliable handguns. What this little one brings is a level of accuracy that is well above average for a gun this size. When you add an internal laser to this gun for about $300, you have the ultimate setup of a woman to be able to conceal carry.
I am going a little more in detail about this then I normally would because I have received a lot of questions lately about guns for women for conceal carry. In parts of Texas, the Conceal Handgun Licenses have went up 400% of the year before for women.
It is very critical that you FORCE your wife to learn how to properly draw this weapon or employ the use of this gun in a critical situation. Go down to your local gun store and buy some snap caps (little fake metal bullets used in training to operate and teach proper gun handling safely). The most important thing about this gun, since it has no external safety lever, is KEEPING THE FINGER OFF OF THE TRIGGER! In an act of panic, the chance of an untrained woman reaching into her purse, getting a death grip on her gun and squeezing the trigger as she tries to pull the gun out of a purse is VERY high. Personally, I could care less if a woman blows a hole through her purse and most likely that would also end the attack as he goes running off. The issue here is based on having the purse on her shoulder, she can, by accident, shoot her foot or thigh. Drawing the gun from the purse needs to be practiced over and over. I would even recommend trying it with an empty gun and the snap caps, doing dry fire drills with it. This exercise is best practiced once a month for the first year and should become very second nature.
With compact accuracy (especially in the under 10 yard range which is most likely how this gun would be used) at short range, incredibly reliable, high capacity and descent caliber stopping power, Glock has a real winner here. I like a lot of things about this gun and out of the box, it has a lot of things going for it. Recommended accessories I would buy would be the following:
1) Internal Laser
2) Trijicon Night Sights
3) Hogue Grip sleeve
For around $600-$700, this is a very well thought out and practical gun for conceal carry.
